Aw shit! We definitely have to meet up dude. I hosted Disco Death (www.discodeath.net) at Panda Club for almost a year, but the venue recently closed. We hosted all the best drum & bass djs in this region though during that period (Hong Kong’s Heavy Crew, DJ Siesta in Shanghai, etc). Currently, Chengdu’s nightlife scene is hurting badly. By that I mean that it’s completely dominated by meaningless commercial clubs and the electronic music scene (of actually educated listeners) is tiny. Hopefully this will change in the near future but there really are no venues to even support such a scene at the moment, which is why I decided to stop doing Disco Death rather than move it to a sub-par location (bar or commercial club).
