Oh the sneaky sneaky wine business (Chinese version).
I’ve never checked out Auchan, but if they have that many wines for sale it’s obviously worth a look. I don’t buy so much lately, but when I do I usually end up in a Carrefour, or an import store close to where I live that offers discount to members. Many decent wines available below 100 RMB if you know what to look for, I found a really good (original) Malbec for 79 RMB recently at Carrefour, and a great Pinot Noir (Next Code) for the same price. I did however also pick up a 200 RMB Pinot Noir at the same store that turned out to be blatantly fake. It even had an import label intact on the bottle, begging the question what can you trust when buying!!
