I just spent a couple of days in Macau, and I’d suggest if you are going to go you should head to the new hotel/casino area. The hotels are brand spanking new, and cheap. I paid 900 rmb per for the Sheraton, incidentally the worlds biggest. The casinos are huge, interconnected between different hotels. It’s no Las Vegas for buzz, but if you’re looking for a gamble in a decent environment it’s the next best thing.
I have to say I did get sick of all the mall areas in the hotels though. As if I haven’t seen enough Gucci stores in China already, or come to think of it fat 30 something Chinese guys maxed out to baller infinity status with said Gucci etc. duds. You have been warned.
