Happened upon this link to a story about a UFO sighting over Chengdu Monday. Did anyone here see it or hear about it?
August 12, 2011 at 3:51 am #12887CharlieKeymasterI didn’t see this or hear about it, which is strange because I remember something like this happening last year and everyone was talking about it. Unfortunately it appears that there was no clear footage of it. It is surprising that this was picked up by foreign journalists without being a big deal here, though.
Maybe someone else saw it?
August 12, 2011 at 4:17 am #12889BrendanModeratorI watched Close Encounters recently, does that count?
August 12, 2011 at 5:14 am #12891JerrySParticipantHmm…. Not to mince words or anything, but in a book in regards to underground bases, Chengdu is supposedly the ‘mother’ of all UFO underground bases.
Is there a constant ‘humming’ or ‘hissing’ that is not tendinitis, which is from an unknown origin?
August 12, 2011 at 5:36 am #12892CharlieKeymasterNow my interest is piqued – what book is that, Jerry?
I’m thinking it might have something to do with the air force bases here.
August 12, 2011 at 6:11 am #12893JerrySParticipantCheck out UFO highway, I’ll post a link where the book is in txt form on a forum. Has one snipet of Chengdu with ufo underground bases.

Page 2 (follow links) has that sentence about Chengdu being the biggest underground base. But nothing more than that. Its a good read, you can do some background research on the matter, kinda adds up.
August 12, 2011 at 6:39 am #12896CharlieKeymasterHere’s the relevant text that I found following that link:
The Chinese too have constructed what is probably the mother of all underground bases in the Chengdu District which has a rail system that leads all the way to the southern coastal waters off China. And theirs is exactly that. It is a military base. Unlike Dulce which is scientific used for research and development, not to mention reverse engineering, the Chengdu Underground Complex is used for military use only. Our intelligence on Chengdu is very limited. That is another facility and government who we need to pay real attention too. When the shit hits the fan it will be China and elements of Russia; not the Middle East like you are being led to believe.
The Chinese are developing stealth capabilities at a devastatingly fast rate. And if we don’t pay attention they are going to own our Military in the same way they already own our economy. They have already shown that their Song Class submarine possesses stealth capabilities further than we had anticipated; and they even surprised our best naval fleet during one of our own military exercises. Later you’ll understand why Dulce is so important to our government.
And matters like these, as with the Chinese, are prime example as to why we’ve expanded beyond the Dulce/LANL periphery to newer areas within the country that even I only know very little of. The work at Dulce is important and is in the interest of all of our asses, but some aspects are just wrong. And those I cannot condone any longer.
The Chengdu District is known to house China’s very own Area 51 and its largest Deep Underground Military Facility. Interestingly, reports have circulated for years that a crashed UFO was retrieved by the Chinese military from the area in 1947 just days after the Roswell New Mexico incident.
Here’s the link to read the whole thing.

“that even I only know very little of.”

Sorry man, it was obviously a joke. I agree that this is a great forum. Having said that, the only thing that kills cool forums in China faster than malicious trolls is super-sensitive locals who act as thought police. If we gotta mince our words every time we post, this forum is absolutely dead in the water.
Again Bruce, it was a (lame) joke. Relax and have a nice day. Zhong guo jia you….
August 15, 2011 at 5:59 am #12927CharlieKeymasterI brought this up with a hardcore alien conspiracy enthusiast on Saturday and she didn’t even know anything about this. “You don’t know about the gigantic underground alien base in Chengdu??”
It is an interesting piece to check out and a good conversations starter. Thanks for posting the link JerryS, it’s definitely something I had never heard of before.
August 15, 2011 at 6:10 am #12930JerrySParticipantWell, to be honest, that book has some good info/read. If you google/youtube Doulce New Mexico, allot will come up. Some funky like ‘Alien hybrid, Norse god, reptile being’ type stuff.. Which.. Are out there, even for my taste. But the book i liked has a ‘realistic’ feel to it.
The base in Chengdu is top secret, if it exists that is. Allot can come into play, how above sea level is Chengdu, how indepth is the airforce base and what not. With the fact that Pakistan gave China the down plane from the OBL raid, this might either be supportive to the underground base or debunks it. Since the ‘stealth’ material is essentially ‘UFO.’ And it takes years for China to develop it.
But yea somethings a brewin and i wouldnt want to stay near cities when it does heh.
