One of the best places to play is 一环路北一段 above the 好乐迪 KTV on the roof. It’s a massive 5-court complex that hosts tournaments and regular play everyday. I believe entry is about 10 yuan and it’s filled with people playing pickup games all day long. There courts are new and adorned with good looking graffiti and they host b-boy competitions there also.
Oh – one more thing to add. They have a giant Bronze Dekembe Mutumbo. It’s like 2+ meters tall. Haha
I found our community also has a basketball court, if someone wanted to come here to play the weekend are always welcome

i am not in chengdu anymore sigh but yeah that court is dope. On the south side of first ring road, across from the outdoor sports outlets (and the stadium) is a small building with courts. the sichuan youth team, provincial team all practice there. if you are coming north off of ren min lu and take a right onto first ring, it will be about 100m down on your right hand side. white bldg. ugly.
weather’s looking up. we shoot hoops once a week, usually on Tuesday morning at the university courts off Renmin nan lu, near computer street
