    Where: Chengdu, China

    When: June 16 – August 11, 2012

    Accommodations: 4 bedroom apartment with rooftop garden

    Cost: free rent … just pay for your own utilities

    What’s the catch? You’d need to take care of two cats and a couple hamsters.

    Good deal for the owner and the house-sitter. i did the same last year and had a good experience. This year I’m gone for 3 or 4 months and have found someone reliable to tame my TigerKuma. No hamster, but two VERY noisy lovebirds as well…..

    Sasha, that’s amazing that you heard about this via friends in Hawaii and you posted it here! Sorry to say that the residents of the apartment have already found sitters for their house. Thanks for your interest.
