ParticipantLit City Trax is a record label owned by J-Cush. They have released a lot of Footwork and Juke, a fairly new genre of bass music from Chicago. The Teklife albums, a collective founded by DJ Rashad (RIP), DJ Spinn and DJ Manny were released on Lit City. Those releases laid the groundwork for the footwork sound being picked up by bigger labels. See Rashad’s critically acclaimed Double Cup album released on Hyperdub (No 23 in the Pitchfork top 50 albums of 2013).

J-Cush’s sets are pretty hard to categorise, he plays everything from hip hop to jungle but mainly bass music…check out his </span>soundcloud
Total Freedom releases on Fade To Mind , Kingdom’s label. They have links to Night Slugs too. Total Freedom appeared on Night Slugs first release

ParticipantKim Laughton does all the art work and visuals for Sub-Culture. He also does a lot of design work for Lit City events. The last few Sub-Culture events he’s been building visual art installations in The Shelter, like this:
Last night he built an installation based on the picture on the flyer in Dada Beijing.
Originally he was supposed to come to Chengdu but unfortunately he had other commitments.
Check this interview with him
