Living Near SichuanU, Working Near City Center?

I’m moving to Chengdu for work next year and will be working near Crowne Plaza Chengdu City Center. However, I’m looking at apartments in the Sichuan University area as most of my friends live between Sichuan University and Wuhouci. I’ve been to Chengdu twice in the past but generally went everywhere by taxi so I don’t really know how long it takes to get from place to place via bus. Does anyone have any idea what the commute would be like from Sichuan University area to the Crowne Plaza Chengdu City Center? Is it a reasonable commute for a city like Chengdu, or should I be looking for an apartment closer to my workplace?

Sichuan University is good but I am afraid that you would be stuck in the traffic jam on the way to work due to the place you go is city center. I suggest that you should look for an closer apartment t o you workplace or go to work by bike. I hope it helps

there’re metro line 1 and line 2 to the city center, it will be much more faster than bus.

but, my advice is live near where you works even though you get a car.
