ParticipantHi,
I am a local Chengdu guy who is working as a programmer for Tencent(you may know QQ) , and I am interested in taking photos. And I want to make some friends here and take photos for you(for fun, for free), and also I can introduce Chengdu to you or teach you Chinese.
I prefer portraiture, and here is my album:

ParticipantHey Roy,
As it happens I’m also a programmer that enjoys photography. I’d be interested to talk with you about some techniques, setups, and equipment. I’ve just been using my entry-level Nikon with the kit lens for the past few months. But now I’ve managed to break the focus on that. Might you know where I can get some second hand lenses and equipment?

ParticipantHi all, I got a new camera about a year ago and been taking some nice pictures around the world. I’d love to meet up with folks in Chengdu to chat and take photos.

If you have a VPN, I suggest turning that on first. I’m not sure why, but CL (and other non-Chinese websites) tend to be intermittently blocked or slow to connect to. If you use a VPN you will have no problems with connections or speed.

Yeah, I’m there for a while yet. It’s a D3200, and it’s pretty well balanced.

ParticipantNikon D5100. Burma was a very special place to take photos. Regarding that photo you liked, I must have taken 200-300 photos that day. Truly magical!

Ah, Burma, famous as casino and drug in China, photos are good, place is nice too, welcome you all make friends with me. using Line or something, or , maybe Charlie organized a photo party?

ParticipantBurmese drugs in China… Burma has a “made in China” feel in some places but still largely unspoiled. English was quite good there, but if you are keen, Burmese is definitely a “hackable” language in my opinion.

ParticipantIf you guys do meet up sometime let me know, I’ve had a Canon T2i for about 3 years now and while I’ve figured out how to use most of it I could always go for some tips. I’m hoping to get a new lens this spring so I could use some input!
