I’m a new arrivel in Chengdu. I’m looking for the christian church that have english service or english translation to attend. I’m coming to study Chinese at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics and I’m living in the campus dormitory. Could anyone suggest me to the church nearby and how to transport. For as i know there is no such thing, there are a lot of churches in Chengdu but I think you can give it a try at 成都市恩光堂 (Chengdu shì ēn guāng táng, ‘ Sunnyside Church’. I dont know which campus your living, but i’m assuming the new one in Wenjiang ? Just make your way into the city its close to Chun Xi Lu ! Who is your Chinese Teacher ? My ‘ganma’ teaches Chinese at Xi Nan Cai Da， Southwestern University of Finance and Economics。 Her name is Ms. Xiao（肖）。
Hi 🙂 My campus is on Qingjiang Road. I just started the class today. My teacher name’s Ms.Xu Xiao Teng. She probable not your “grandma” cause she looks very young. Is a Sunnyside Church a Catholic or Protestant church? I’m a protestant.
And where is the shun cheng jie road? (just tell me which side to look at from the map of Chengdu) Thanks =)
Im not sure if that church is protestant, but i’ll ask my ganma (not grandma, its like godmother in a none religious way. My ganma is christian, ill ask her if she knows a international protestant church.
Shes btw not your teacher, her full name is xiao hongyin.

Hmm oke, she wrote back that she didnt knew if churches had English service or translations. She recommended; 成都市中西顺城街 98号(Streetadress)成都市上翔堂(name of the church) and the Sunnyside church, which probably is a catholic church but I am not sure. Im neither sure if the first one is Catholic of Protestant aswell. You can try and call them;
028-86784598 = Sunnyside (成都市恩光堂)
028-6627560 = 成都市上翔堂 (Chengdu Shi Shang Xiang Tang)
Maybe you can ask your teacher if your Chinese isnt that advanced yet. I also have emailed a Catholic American friend, who lives in Chengdu, who might know it. Havent had a reaction yet. There is an International Fellowship which is Protestant in Chengdu.
It meets close to the Da Shi Jie Jia La Fu (Big World Carrefour) but I don’t know the exact location or time. I think it might be at 10am.
