I’m curious to know if any of you have any ‘go to’ websites or booking agencies for travel deals. I’ve used various myself, including qunar, cnutg, ctrip, e-long, trip.taobao/360buy/tmall etc, as well as the occasional C.O.D. agent, I’m just assuming there’s more out there.
I’m in the process of looking for a (Hong Kong) hotel, and the bargain hunter in me isn’t satisfied yet.
As a side note, are there any ‘last minute’ websites within the mainland for retail purchase, travel booking, etc.?
I didn’t mention the trusty craigslist.org, and I’ve just discovered this too… wimdu.cn
Do you know trip advisor? You can see other tourists’ review for hotels, restaurants, flights, and compare the price from a few third party booking website.

You’ve covered most of the ones I use, but I’ve also started looking at tuan gou (groupon-like deals) for a particular city when I am looking for a hotel. http://www.57tuan.com has listings from many tuan gou sites and you can group by city and category.
I recommend several local Chengdu, Sichuan is very practical
