Malaria meds

I’m moving to Chengdu in a couple weeks and am wondering whether I should get a prescription for malaria drugs here, or wait until I get there. I know that there’s not a malaria risk in Chengdu, but I’ll likely be travelling to other places in South Asia that do have malaria risk. Any advice is helpful.

You can get malaria meds in a hospital or pharmacy here. I think it’d be a good idea to get the prescription in your home country (especially if you have health insurance) but you can get that in Asia if need be.
