In 2013, his journey brought him to Chengdu. His main professional interests lie in curriculum development and assessment practices but also in the effects of globalization on national education systems.
When contemplating the future of education, his thoughts span a vast spectrum which includes, among other things, the government versus governance debate, the influence of supranational organizations such as the OECD, the World Bank, or the United Nations, private versus public education, what it means to be a ‘global citizen’, and how the increased use of technology will shape tomorrow’s classroom.
