ParticipantA comment I placed on FB:
“yeah i read that and tossed the shit and was like fuck this fool. this one hurt me worse than the red wedding when i read that truth be told. and watching it has actually fucked with my mental. in my head, the image was dirty and nasty, but seeing it on tv just made it worse. but yo, the mountain screams in agony for weeks and weeks following his fight with the viper, and then dies. spoiler right, but idgaf every1 needs to know that the mountain pays dearly.”

KeymasterNo spoilers, man!
This episode really messed me up also. Game of Thrones is now famous for wrecking our collective psychological states but I think this was the most traumatic on-screen event so far. The Red Wedding and Ned Stark’s execution were brutal, but to me this was next level because that character was so universally loved and his fate was so extreme. This is easily the best season of GoT so far, I’d say.

ParticipantThere were so many really awesome moments in this episode. One of my favorites was Arya’s laughter and Hound’s expression. The last few minutes, though, made me like Oberyn SO much more in a very short period of time, and feel great and smiling towards the end when I thought it would be different than the ‘spoiler’ I had heard before .. then I saw the foreshadowing. And felt “oh fuck.”, Then it happened – and the triumphant pride in this character which I felt was just reaching his stride in terms of what I thought was great development was crushed, literally, and I felt fury and disgust, not just the visuals – but the rollercoaster brought to pass over the span of like, 2 minutes. It was really amazing, even if it ended up fucking terribly.

There really were. Aside from Arya laughing, Sansa’s transformation was amazing. Really glad Littlefinger dodged that bullet, also. Great episode.

ModeratorFantastic episode. The end was soul crushing. I have high hopes for the final 2 episodes.
Some funny episode commentary, pics and gifs circulating. My favourite so far…

I rewatched, and didn’t experience the same physically-intense emotional rollercoaster as the first time at all.. I was still upset at the end though.

I felt physically repulsed and emotionally crushed after watching it. I didn’t want to re-watch it, but after 30 minutes or so, I couldn’t stop myself. Watched it many times and like Rick, felt better afterwards. Remarkable special effects. A friend of mine had read the books and told me that he knew what was going to happen but wasn’t prepared.

ParticipantPop goes the viper. Good to see at least one TV show still mixing it up and not totally pandering to the will of the audience. Although they could do us a favor and let Daenerys get her sweater stretchers out a bit more
