Seen by over 70 million people world-wide, CATS first opened in London in May 1981 to rave reviews and went on to win a record-breaking number of awards internationally including Laurence Olivier Awards and Tony Awards for Best Musical. It holds the record for one of the longest-running musicals in West End history playing for 21 years. In addition CATS has been presented in over 26 countries, in about 300 cities, in 14 languages.

Composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and based on the book of poems “Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats” (1939) by T.S. Eliot, CATS tells the imaginative tale of a tribe of Jellicle Cats as they gather together for the annual Jellicle Ball, and one by one tell their stories for the amusement of Old Deuteronomy, who must choose one of the Cats to journey to the Heavyside Layer to be reborn into a new life.

The Chinese production, as the 15th language version of CATS, is going to hit the stage on JinCheng Art Palace during new year.

Interesting , I was thinking about it days ago … But it is too damn expensive. Not to mention I am gonna be a slave working for my house soon. … also, I love james blunt, but again , Can’t afford it… I think I will just buy lots of snacks ,eating on my sofa and  listening to the computer….Hey I, I got cat and James blunt on my computer too.!!!

actually I think it s wonderful to have this kinda information here. Days ago I wanted to watch an opera so much but just couldn’t find a place to buy Tickets….so, when I got the money , I will definitely go.

Whenever I goto 711 I gets the leaflet for CATS, always wanted to know how much the ticket is going to cost but i’m keeping losing those so never got a chance to ask.

Does anyone here know, how much is the ticket? The price depend on the seating arrangement?

There are different prices. I am not sure but I think the cheapest is 180. http://Www.damai.cn or at the ticket boot in the theatre…strange thing is that the ticket itself doesn’t have the price printed, only the seat number. There are plenty of performances during Chistmas, even St Petersburg ballet!! I was surprised when I discovered this by chance a couple of weeks ago 🙂
