Any Open Mic Nights in Chengdu?

all in the title really, just fairly new to chengdu and wondering if there were any good bars who host open mike nights. eager to watch some performances and maybe get up on stage myself

Yeah they are. The one to check out is Jah Bar on Thursday nights. Here’s the location: Jah Bar

The newly opened Helen’s in the Poly Center right next to the American Consulate has an open mic night on Wednesday or Thursday, can’t remember.  They give away 5 beers to the first 3 performers.

The open mic nights won’t really pick up again until Sept, as most of the musicians are away in Aug.  Also the boss of Jah is not in town at the moment so the jam nights have not been so good lately.  Hopefully you guys can play bass?
