Suggestions for this or next weekend

Hi everybody,

I’m going to be in Chengdu for three weeks for work, pretty much on my own. I was here last year for three weeks as well and already visited most of the tourist landmarks then.

Do you have any suggestions on what to do/where to go on the weekends (suitable for someone with no mandarin skills whatsoever), or places where the foreign community gets together (other than Shamrock or Cafe Paname)?

Any tips are greatly appreciated!

Zebra Music festival is this weekend. I’m not familiar with the bands playing, but the Xiong Mao dance tent will have some solid local DJs and a festival atmosphere is always fun.

If you want to hit some bars other than Shamrock or Paname, check out Machu Picchu, The Hemp House, Jah Bar, Lan Town or The Little Bar.
