Visa Extensions in Chengdu or Leshan?

What is the situation of Visa Extensions in Chengdu or Leshan currently?

I’ve noticed that it depends on the region.  Some places will process an extension.  Some won’t.  (For example, currently Suzhou will, but Shanghai won’t).

I want to visit Chengdu before the end of the year on a 30 day L-Visa.  And I’d like to extend my stay a further 30 days if possible.

It used to be the situation that Chengdu was difficult with this and Leshan didn’t care. That was years ago though and I feel like this situation may have changed. I haven’t tried to do anything visa-related in Leshan in 5+ years though so maybe someone else will chime in here with more recent information.
