    Does anyone know if the Arsenal v. Newcastle is on tv this Saturday, or if any Chengdu bars will be showing it?!?

    For sure. The go-to places to watch this will probably the Leg & Whistle and Shamrock.

    12.30am at the Leg & Whistle.

    Normally a fair few Arsenal fans there watching games.

    Newcastle fan here, any any Arsenal or Newcastle fans want to meet up to watch the match?

    Match still could be called off due to the riots though.

    The match is in Newcastle so I doubt it will be cancelled.

    There are also a couple of Newcastle fans in Chengdu.

    cool, match will be fine then. Good to know that there are other Newcastle fans. I’ve watched Newcastle play in many different bars around the world and I always seem to be out numbered.

    thanks everyone, sounds like leg & whistle is a good bet. does anyone know the address in mandarin? i will have to show it to a taxi driver :o)

    If you say “chuan da hua yuan” most taxi drivers will know where it is. It’s directly opposite the wowo on the 2nd floor.

    Yeah the Leg is a cool place. Super-nice owner, completely unpretentious. Fills a niche in Chengdu.
