Guest Speaker’s Introduction:
1. Morgan Haas 汉梦阁领事
Morgan is a Foreign Service Officer within the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS). He was appointed Director of the Agricultural Trade Office at the U.S. Consulate-Chengdu in November 2012.
Prior to Chengdu, he served three years as Agricultural Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow. Since his start with FAS in 2001, Morgan has also served in Argentina and South Korea as well as in Washington DC. Throughout his career, Morgan has focused on various areas of agricultural commodity analysis, trade promotion, and trade policy.
He graduated from South Dakota State University with an M.S. Economics, Agricultural Economics emphasis.
2. Shin Liang 梁鑫晟
A Chengdu entrepreneur now building a tech startup in Sillicon Valley. Obsessed with “making things right”. 2015 Spring session student of Draper University of Hereo. And a code monkey who can still joke.
3. Michael Zhang 张艺达
Founder, Walnut co-working space.
22 years old, born in China, grew up in Canada, attended university in London and New York. Graduated Cum Laude from New York University with an economics major and a double minor in Psychology and Business Studies. During his 4th year of university, he started his own real estate company. In less than a year, a team of 3 people made the list of top 10 boutique real estate brokerage firms in sales numbers in New York.
Now, his dream is to build a community platform for entrepreneurs in China, to live, to work and to create together.
Monthly organized since 2 years, the Chengdu Entrepreneurship Meet up brings business people together every 3th Wednesday of the month.
Averagely attended by>100 persons, this free event featuring a panel discussion, followed by Q&A, idea pitches and networking session.
Come on out and hear the stories of trailblazing and building businesses in Chengdu!
