Do you want to know what Chinese girls are thinking, regarding relationships?
Here it is
你负责赚钱养家,我负责貌美如花!(ni fu ze zhuan qian yang jia, wo fu ze mao mei ru hua)
some Chinese girls think this way!
not me, by the way 🙂

Perhaps somewhat crude an assessment of a Chinese girls ‘thinking’, but then perhaps not so far from the ideals held by many nations when it comes to ‘relationships’.
What amuses me more than anything when topics like this arise, is the perpetuity within which they exist. If more guys grew some balls and made their own stand point (in and out of China), maybe there’d be more content couples out there.
That said, & without reading into that phrasing too deeply, if two people are together and accepting of each others roles, then la de da!!

I think about this phrasing is when I just read a news from weibo talking about a wife get suicide when her husband have a 小三(little three , means mistress)
Lot’s girls think about it that way. You are responsible for the support of the family, I am responsible for as the beautiful as flower!
well,that’s just wrong beginning

January 5, 2012 at 5:34 am #15914linka999ParticipantChinese man’s thinking is
家里红旗不倒,家外彩旗飘飘
In the home the red colour flag still there, out of home own lot’s of different colour flags.
which means have one wife in the home, also have lot’s of girlfriend and mistress out of home.

Give a guy a break”I’m pretty sure that’s definately not what they’re thinking. Probably more along the lines of “god I hope I’m not embarrassing her and I’m making her happy by holding her bag and maybe if I’ll be good I can try to have sex with her tonight… if she wants to”
EDIT: For what it’s worth I don’t think Chinese people are too concerned about looking ridiculous in any way lol
January 5, 2012 at 5:45 am #15916linka999ParticipantYes, that’s the good way to go to xiaomin home!
haha
January 5, 2012 at 9:13 am #15929RayParticipant@Vincent: i think you’re right man. Actually, that’s how i felt carrying the handbag (ridiculous, not the part about hoping for sex, although there was an element of that too). I also remember thinking what my mates back home woulda said. Something along the lines of “man up and grow a pair!”.
It’s all good. These days I’m happy to carry anyone’s handbag…
