ParticipantEmei, Leshan and all the other sightseeing in Chengdu will be overcrowded, as well as the city itself.
Any suggestions and recommendotations how to occopy oneself within this period? Any events pending in Chengdu within these dates?

ParticipantIf you have never visit the countryside of Sichuan, you cannot capture the essence of the Chengdu spirit.
I studied in Sichuan for 4 years and lived in Chengdu for 3 years, but I did not really see Sichuan until last April when I went to visit some small villages in Luzhou. The suburb view is so beautiful: all the houses line aside the curvous roads, interspersed with fishponds, fruit trees, and flowers. Everything is so peaceful and quite, that you almost want to stay forever. You will find more pleasure than visiting the crowded places.

Thanks a lot for great info. There are 7 districts in Luzhou. Could you please mention the one you have visited? How many days would you recommend me to stay there?

You should find a guide before visiting the countryside, otherwise, it might be very inconsistent. BTW, I’m Chinese, and my GF is a local, so I had no problem finding my way around. I’m getting married in the holiday, so I cannot show you around. If you cannot find a guide, I suggest you go to San Sheng Xiang or Qing Cheng mountain instead.

KeymasterIndeed, this. Cookin’ Chengdu is the biggest thing happening in the city during the holiday.
Other than that, I’m finally getting around to playing GTA V, looking forward to that.

This is great advice!
