It seems like a mismatch but it’s a surprisingly competitive matchup:
*Mayweather: old/ ringrust/ damaged hands/ minimal knockout power/ overwhelming favorite = pressure and high expectations
*Connor: in his prime/devastating knockout power/zero pressure or expectations/that inexplicable Connor “something”
Also, any news or videos about Connor being knocked out or schooled in sparring is fake or instigated by the Connor camp. They’re too smart and professional to let anything slip. It’s an old ploy and when your man is making the money Connor is you would never risk it by having a maverick sparring partner. Malignaggi is sparring with him and they’re mostly running patterns. They’re NOT trying to teach Connor how to box.
I still tip Floyd by decision but if I had to throw a wildcard I’d lay some bread on Connor losing by DQ. Seriously. Maybe intentionally or accidentally. When you go to the circus you should always anticipate the bizarre.
Remember: You heard it here first! 🙂The way it was explained to me was that the professors (in some disciplines more than others) have extensive business connections that enable them to make large amounts of money. One example: a student was a major in polymers (plastics i guess?). Her professor assigned her and some classmates numerous “group research projects” in which they would analyze different polymers for things like durability, weight, heat sensitivity etc. Only some students were given these projects and they were never graded on them. The students were convinced that an outside company was paying the professor for this research. Students were not even particularly angry or disappointed about this arrangement. They basically explained it as “what are you gonna do? Refuse the professor? Report him?”
I’ve worked at Chuan Da. In one car park you’re seeing a lot of seriously expensive luxury cars (BMW 7’s / Range Rovers etc.). The professors are notorious for the “supplementary” incomes they earn.

I discovered that the Chengdu thing was just a few Aussie expats trying to get a game going (kinda tough cos each side needs 18 players plus 3 or 4 subs).

*it’s Bellator so the quality is VERY variable 🙂PPTV continues to be unreliable when showing the undercard. In general I’ve found that if the UFC Chinese website lists PPTV/Sina/QQ in the “where to watch” section, they show it. When it’s just “PPTV” even tho it’s listed as starting at 6 or 7 or 8 AM, generally there is no undercard shown (but they still show the main event at 10 usually).
Many a time I’ve woken at 6, expecting some action, only to be disappointed and then curse “those PPTV motherf***ers!”This guy does outstanding work and charges a fair price.

You can get some good deals sometimes. A few months ago i picked up some Met-Rx creatine super cheap cos the expiry date was approaching (actually it was 6 months until expiry and i used it well before then). ON is a good brand and this is not a bad price (not sure what rightsun is charging these days)

Another one I’ve used sometimes cos it can be really cheap and it’s reasonable quality is a brand called Olimp. A few months back on JD.com i picked up 5lbs for 238 kuai, which is a steal. They add a fair bit of junk/filler but its still good value.
Oh yeah, that gym mentioned above, called WorldFit is awesome. I’ve joined even tho my existing membership at another place expires in 2018. I paid 1200 with some minor haggling/whining/grovelling 🙂@Ziich: you opened a bar? Don’t wanna plug it?
PPTV.com usually shows it. For Vegas cards (which this one is) the main card starts at 10 AM Sunday morning here. They have shown the prelims and undercard in the past (at 6 AM) but that seems to have stopped now. They have also sporadically had English commentary (Rogan etc.) but generally you only get Chinese guys….
